Stephen “Rusty” Kozak is an associate attorney at FSG Lawyers and practices in the firm’s transactional department. Mr. Kozak received his juris doctor from Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law in 2013 and earned a Master of Laws in Business Law at Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law. He received his undergraduate Business Economics degree from the University of San Diego in 2009.
Prior to joining FSG Lawyers, Mr. Kozak worked as a transactional attorney focusing in business/corporate law and transactions, real estate law and transactions, and employment law compliance and counseling. Mr. Kozak also has litigation experience in a wide range of business and real estate matters. Prior to becoming a member of the California Bar, Mr. Kozak worked as a Real Estate Specialist at a top Luxury brokerage firm where he assisted in representing clients in a broad spectrum of real estate transactions including residential purchases and complex land acquisitions slated for development, to name two.
During law school, Mr. Kozak worked in his law school’s Community and Economic Development Clinic. He also served as a judicial extern for the California Court of Appeals, 4th District, Division 3 in Santa Ana and had internships with Orange County’s District Attorney, County Counsel, and Public Defender, as well as a position with former 3rd District Supervisor, Bill Campbell as chief policy intern.
Mr. Kozak is active in the community, serving as a Commissioner, Community Services Commission, for the City of Tustin.
