CRF Mock Trial Award

FSG and Partner David Hunt are pleased to congratulate Jennifer DeMesa from Santa Ana High School for her excellence award as a student witness in the Orange County Mock Trial Program sponsored and presented by the Orange County Constitutional Rights Foundation.  Jennifer participated in the program for the first time this year.  She demonstrated skill and understanding of her role as a witness and the legal proceedings.  Jennifer also showed her great capability by serving as multiple witnesses for the neophyte Santa Ana Team.  Jennifer and the Santa Ana High School Team were coached by Partner David Hunt.  David said, “We congratulate Jennifer on her personal achievement and commend the Santa Ana Team for their hard work this year and anticipate many years of success for the Santa Ana High School Team in the future.”  You can find the list of award winners on the Orange County Constitutional Rights Foundation’s website, www.occrf.org.

FSG is pleased to announce that Partner David Hunt has been appointed as co-chair of the newly reconstituted Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Council.  David brings his unique experience to this position, gained from serving as a city attorney of three cities for a total of approximately 15 years and representing public agencies for 25 years.  David is pleased to serve Santa Ana as his city of residence and to work with its important chamber of commerce serving businesses throughout the city.  To learn more about the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce and its role in serving businesses, visit its website at www.santaanachamber.com.

FSG Partner David Hunt has joined Santa Ana High School Teacher Tomrickson in creating Santa Ana High School’s first Constitutional Rights Foundation’s Mock Trial Team.  David serves as the teams’ attorney, mentor and advisor.  David shares his nearly 30 years of trial experience with the team and teaches them about oral presentation, advocacy and courtroom etiquette as well as assisting them with respect to the nuances of the law and procedures applicable to the hypothetical used in the CRF competition.  The team will be competing with over 12 other Orange County High Schools in November and December of 2012 in order to go to the state championships in January of 2013 and ultimately to national championships.  David looks forward to this opportunity for serving Santa Ana youth and building their skills to take on future legal issues for our country.  Learn more about the Constitutional Rights Foundation and this year’s competition by visiting Orange County’s Constitutional Rights Foundation’s webpage at www.occrf.org.
